Vietnam and Mongolia have agreed to boost exchanges of high-ranking delegations with the aim of further enhancing political trust between the two sides.

The nations reached agreementduring a three-day political consultation between Deputy ForeignMinister Ho Xuan Son and his Mongolian counterpart Damba Gankhuyag thatwrapped up in Hanoi on April 29.

At thefunction, both sides expressed pleasure at the development of theirtraditional friendship in the recent past, especially followingMongolian President Tsakhigiin Elbegdorj’s State-level visit to Vietnamlate last year.

They jointly remarked on thepositive collaboration between their ministries and agencies toorganise activities marking the 60th anniversary of Vietnam-Mongoliadiplomatic ties, which falls in November.

Regardingtheir economic bond, the two sides agreed to create favourableconditions for their businesses to enhance exchanges and seek investmentopportunities in a bid to implement the agreements signed between them.

Bilateral collaboration in the spheres ofeducation, tourism, health, and oil and gas exploitation was reached atthe consultation, along with cooperation between the two foreignministries.

As part of his Vietnam visit, theMongolian diplomat paid a courtesy visit to Deputy Prime Minister NguyenXuan Phuc before touring to some historical and cultural relic sites inthe country.-VNA
