During the four-day visit from October 24-November2, the delegation had meetings with representatives from the UK’sDepartment of Justice, the Supreme Court and the House of Lords. TheVietnamese guests have also held working sessions with the country’slawyers as well as lecturers from the School of Law and Social Sciencesunder the University of East London.
The delegation head told theVietnam News Agency’s correspondents in London that throughmeetings, the delegation learnt from the UK’s experience related tojudicial field, as well as get an insight into its personnel trainingmodels for the judicial sector and legal professions.
She said the knowledge will be useful for Vietnam as the country is undertaking extensive judicial reforms.
Sheadded that many laws related to justice organs’ organisation andoperation such as the People’s Court, People’s Procuracy and criminalinvestigation agencies will be revised and approved by the NationalAssembly so as to concretise the 2013 Constitution.-VNA
