Vietnam learns France’s experience in managing public organisations

A delegation from the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) visited France from June 12-14 to learn the country’s experience in managing the transparency of public organisations.

Paris (VNA) – A delegation from theHo Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) led by its Director Nguyen XuanThang visited France from June 12-14 to learn the country’s experience inmanaging the transparency of public organisations.

During its stay, the delegation worked withrepresentatives from the French National School of Administration (ENA), theFrench Government’s Supreme Council on the Management of Public Organisations’Transparency, the National Academy of Arts and Occupation (CNAM) and the Courtof Auditors.

The delegation also held discussions withmembers of the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts in France onincreasing the efficiency of the Government.

Previously, the HCMA and ENA signed acooperation agreement on training for 2007-2011. At the working session, thetwo sides showed their desire to intensify relations via a new agreement for2017-2022 expected to be signed in late 2017.

At the Court of Auditors, whose functionsare similar to the State Audit Office of Vietnam, the delegation was introducedto measures to assess the use of public assets in order to prevent waste andcorruption.

The Vietnamese delegation also learned fromthe French Government’s supreme council on how to increase the efficiency anduprightness of public institutions and the CNAM’s experience in leadershipstudies.

Talking to Vietnam News Agencycorrespondents in France, Thang said that the HCMA, as an office traininghigh-ranking leaders of the Party and State, wants to study other countries’experience to improve its training programmes.

Learning from France’s experience is necessaryand useful in the context of Vietnam implementing political and Party-buildingreforms, he added.-VNA
