Hanoi (VNA)– Vietnam has the highest percentage of women leadership in Asia, according tothe report “Women in the boardroom: A global perspective” of the DeloitteGlobal.
The analysis isbased on a dataset covering nearly 7,000 companies in 64 countries.
Vietnam takes the lead in Asia with 17.6 percent of female board members in asample of 50 Vietnamese companies, higher than the global average of 15percent.
The figure is 13.7percent for Malaysia and 10.2 percent for Singapore.
The report alsostated that percentage of women leadership in Asia remains low, only higherthan Latin America. Meanwhile, Europe has the highest ratio, with 22.8 percentof women in boards.
In April, Vietnamwas also ranked among top 10 countries which is most suitable for women-foundedstart-ups in a report of Mastercard.-VNA
