Vietnam-Laos friendship association meets

The first congress of the Thanh Hoa province’s Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association was held on August 2, attracting more than 600 participants.
The first congress of the Thanh Hoa province’s Vietnam-Laos FriendshipAssociation was held on August 2, attracting more than 600 participants.

Under its working plan for the 2010-2015 period, theVietnam-Laos Friendship Association will act as a bridge to furtherboost ties between Thanh Hoa province and Huaphan province of Laos, which share a 192 km-long border.

It will alsomaintain cultural exchange activities between the two provinces to markimportant events of the two nations, consolidate and protect bordersecurity as well as increase awareness about people-to-people policiesof the two countries.

The association has so far had 600,000members, who used to spend time studying and working in Laos ortook part in the resistance war on the Lao front.

Ha Van Thuong, Chairman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, was elected President of the association./.

ASEAN’s goods, culinary culture promoted in Europe

Bac Lieu, Korean locality sign labour cooperation agreement

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year

Chinese sick sailor on vessel AMIS STAR provided with first aid
