Vietnam and Laos businesses gathered at a trade exchange inVientiane , Laos on July 19 seeking cooperation and investmentpartners and opportunities.
The exchange, part of the2013 Laos -Vietnam Exposition, saw the attendance of businesses fromLaos and Vietnam ’s southern provinces of Dong Nai and Ben Tre.
Dong Nai businesses wanted to promote cooperation withthe Lao side in the fields of handicraft, pharmaceuticals, and garmentand textiles.
Meanwhile, those from Ben Tre province,which is strong in agriculture and aquaculture, hoped to find partnersin processing and exporting fruit and aquatic products.
The Lao businesses said the two sides should study each other’smarkets and trading tradition so that their cooperation can go smoothly,contributing to achieving the target of 2 billion USD in two-way tradeby 2015.-VNA
