Vietnam- Laos agrees to upgrade solidarity monuments

Vietnam and Laos have agreed to upgrade monuments to their solidarity in the provinces of Oudomxay, Xieng Khouang, Attapeu and Champasak in Laos.

The agreement was reached at a meeting betweena delegation of the Vietnamese Government Special Task Committee andthose from Laos in Vientiane on March 6.

Accordingly, the Vietnamese side will provide Laos with 15 billion VND (about 700,000 USD) to implement the project.

The two sides discussed issues related to the search andrepatriation of the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers andspecialists who laid down their lives in Laos.


They also planned to hold another meeting, their 19 th , in Vietnam as soon as possible.-VNA

The Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu on October 21 signed a cooperation agreement with Uiseong county, Gyeongsangbuk-do province of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on sending local labourers to the RoK to work seasonally under the form of locality-to-locality collaboration between the two countries in the 2023 - 2027 period.

Tien Giang strives to reduce poverty rate to 0.87% this year
