HCM City (VNA) – More than 300 photos featuring Vietnam’s economic achievements over the past 30 years of renewal are being on display at an exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City as part of the Vietnam Summit 2016.
The exhibition, which kicked off on November 2 at the Intercontinental Asiana Saigon Hotel in District 1, also highlights Vietnam’s regional and international integration as well as the local investment climate.
It offers an opportunity for the participating businesses to promote their products and services while seeking domestic and foreign partners.
Localities also use the occasion to introduce their economic achievements, along with their opportunities and potential for both domestic and international cooperation.
Addressing the event, Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son said the exhibition is part of activities to realise the Government’s action plan aiming to promote the images of Vietnamese businesses, people, culture, investment opportunities, economic landscape and tourism in the eyes of international friends.
The Vietnam Summit 2016, due to open on November 3, seeks to show international businesses that Vietnam is determined to comprehensively reform its economy in the next years, build an incorruptible and constructive Government to serve the people and businesses, improve investment climate and encourage start-up spirit, he stressed.
The summit will discuss various issues, including the nation’s position in the global economy, future of the manufacturing sector, rice production, industrial production and the investment environment.-VNA
