Berlin (VNA) - President of the State Parliament ofLower Saxony (Niedersachsen) of Germany Gabriele Andretta recently expressedher hope of fostering cooperation with Vietnam in vocational training as thestate has huge demand for skilled workers.
Receiving Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu, theofficial spoke of the collaboration results between Lower Saxony and Vietnam,especially in research and cultural exchanges.
She appreciated the active integration of theVietnamese community in the state, affirming that it has created a favourablelegal framework for foreigners, including Vietnamese people.
Ambassador Vu spoke highly of the cooperationpotential between the two sides in fields Lower Saxony has advantages and Vietnamhas demand such as biotechnology, manufacturing, renewable energy andvocational training.
He expressed his hope that Volkswagen Group, oneof the world’s largest automobile manufacturers, would build an assemblyfactory in Vietnam.
The diplomat took the occasion to thank LowerSaxony for creating favourable conditions for the Vietnamese community to live,work and study in the state. At present, there are about 10,000 Vietnamesepeople, including 600 students, living in Lower Saxony.
He also briefed the host on several activitiesto be held to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Vietnam-Germany diplomaticties in 2020./.
