Vietnam, Indonesia boost audit cooperation

State Audit of Vietnam (SAV) Chief Auditor Vuong Dinh Hue has discussed with Chairman of the Supreme Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BKPRI) Hadi Poernomo possibilities for bilateral audit cooperation.

Duringthe talks held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on May 24, both sides touched onmeasures to promote the development of the Asian Organisation of SupremeAudit Institutions (ASOSAI) and become further involved in ASOSAIworking groups.

They reached consensus on the necessity toaccelerate the establishment of the supreme audit institution of theAssociation of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN SAI) with fourco-founders: Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Brunei.

BKPRIChairman Hadi Poernomo welcomed the first visit to Indonesia by SAVChief Auditor Hue which, he said, has laid a foundation for the closecooperation between BKPRI and SAV.

He briefed the guests of BKPRIactivities and the country’s plan to set up an e-audit committee toincrease the accuracy and effectiveness of state audit activities.

Whilein Indonesia from May 23-27, SAV Chief Auditor Hue was scheduled to paya courtesy visit to Indonesian House of Representatives Deputy SpeakerPromono Anung Wibowo and hold a working session with the Indonesia StateAudit Agency in Bali to discuss possibilities for cooperation betweenSAV and BKPRI affiliates./.
