With the help from theBank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), the programmeprovides training courses for information technology officials, ITequipment and a specialised office email system.
Launched inFebruary, the 83,000 USD programme aims to improve the GovernmentOffice’s information technology system, with a particular focus onstrengthening security.
Addressing the event, BIDV Chairman TranBac Ha said the bank wishs to contribute to strengthening the solidaritybetween the two Governments, Parties and peoples by implementingprojects on IT development and application in Laos in the time ahead.
Ministerand Head of the Office of the Government of Laos Sonexy Suphandonepraised the bank’s great contributions as well as the Vietnamese Party,State and Government’s support for Laos in the past.
Theprogramme is expected to contribute to the development of humanresources and professional skills, and strengthen the specialcooperative relationship between the two sides.-VNA
