Vietnam gives books on friendship to Cambodia

The Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia held a ceremony in Phnom Penh on Nov. 4 to present Cambodia with 500 books on bilateral friendship, in both Vietnamese and Khmer languages.

Vietnamese ambassador NgoAnh Dung said the 600-page collection of poems and music pieces onVietnam-Cambodia friendship is expected to revive the atmosphere of adifficult period of time which connected two nations together.

He also stressed the significance of the event, which took place inthe context of increased bilateral friendship, cooperation and exchangeactivities, following Vietnam-Cambodia Culture Week 2010 inSihanoukville and Phnom Penh.

CambodianDeputy Prime Minister Men Sam On said the bilingual books will helpyoung generations of both countries to understand the history of the twonations.

The same day, the embassy also held atalk on investment and business activities of Vietnamese enterprises inCambodia, drawing the participation of more than 20 Vietnamesebusinesses./.
