Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam –Germany Centre of Excellence in Medical Research (VGCare) was officiallylaunched by the 108 Military Central Hospital and the University of Tübingen ofGermany on January 16.

Theinaugural ceremony was attended by Deputy Defence Minister Senior LieutenantGeneral Nguyen Chi Vinh.

TheVGCare is expected to be a reliable address for scientists from both sides toexchange in different fields related to healthcare, including clinical andtropical diseases, molecular biology and cancer.

Itwill also facilitate Vietnamese researchers’ access to modern equipment inbasic and advanced research.

Onthe occasion, the 108 Hospital presented the Honorary Professor title to threeprofessors from the University of Tübingen for their contribution to thecooperation in training and scientific research between the two sides in thepast few years.-VNA

Hanoi tightens control, prevention of monkeypox
