Referring to non-profit translation and publication, the two sidesagreed to promote their cooperation with a view to bringing culture tomedia via introducing valuable literature works to translators andpublishers and protecting intellectual property of published works.
Addressing the signing ceremony, writer Huu Thinh, President of theVietnam Writers’ Association, pledged to do his best to nurture thetraditional friendship between the two countries, contributing tobringing the Red River and Nile River civilisations closertogether.
For his part, Writers’ Union of EgyptPresident Mohamed Salmawy affirmed that the agreement lays a foundationfor activities between the two associations in the future, helping thetwo countries’ writers explore each other’s culture and improve theirtranslation work.-VNA
