The donation was sourced from Vietnam’s COVID-19prevention and control fund, managed by the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee, under the approval of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
It will be used to provide food, necessities, medical suppliesand cash for vulnerable people, including workers suffering from incomereduction, the unemployed and those from difficult backgrounds.
At the handover ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador toCambodia Vu Quang Minh and a representative of Vietnamese-Cambodian communityexpressed their gratitude towards the VFF, which has always shown great care andsupport for communities of Vietnamese origin.
On the same day, the Embassy of Vietnam in Cambodia alsoreceived a cash donation worth 100,000 USD from the Cambodian Red Cross Societyto their counterpart in Vietnam, together with 50,000 USD donated by theCambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association to help Vietnam fight the pandemic./.
