Addressing the forum, Deputy Minister of Industryand Trade, Do Thang Hai expressed his delight at the fine developmentbetween the two nations in such fields as politics, economics, trade andculture.

However, he said, economic and trade relations betweenthe two nations has not lived up to its fullest potential, notingVietnamese businesses have encountered difficulties meeting the highdemands of the Czech Republic and EU market.

Hai expressed hishope that the signing of the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement later thisyear will bring a new impetus to trade relations between the twocountries and serve as a bridge connecting the markets.

Duringthe forum, deputy head of the Trade Promotion Agency under the Ministryof Industry and Trade, Do Kim Lang presented trade and investmentopportunities in Vietnam.

For his part, Czech Republic’s DeputyMinister of Industry and Trade, Pavel Solc highlighted regular meetingsbetween the two countries’ businesses have been fruitful in elevatingties between the two nations.

He emphasised Vietnam is animportant partner of the Czech Republic in the fields of politics,economics and trade and both nations have exponential potential forenhanced cooperation in the future.-VNA
