During the talks, Chief Judge Binh said he believes the delegation’sworking visit will contribute to reinforcing and promoting cooperationbetween the two countries.
He briefed the Cuban guest onVietnam’s judicial reform process, including in the courts, saying thecountry reaped remarkable achievements and brought crucial changes ofjurisdiction and organisation structure to its court system.
Forhis part, Ruben Remigio Ferro, who is on a working visit to Vietnamfrom June 30-July 5, affirmed that the Cuban Party and people, and hisagency in particular, treasure and wish to foster the traditionalfriendship and all-around cooperation with Vietnam, especially injudicial affairs.
While sharing his country’s experience inreforming the judiciary, he said Cuba hopes to receive assistance fromthe Vietnam Supreme People’s Court and learn from its experience.
Thetwo officials agreed on orientations for their future cooperation,expressing the desire that connection between the courts of the twonations will be further tightened.
On the occasion, Binhpresented the insignia “For the Cause of the Court of Vietnam” toRuben Remigio Ferro and Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Herminio Lopez Diazin recognition of their important contributions to the development ofthe Vietnamese courts.-VNA
