Vietnam confirms over 3,000 new COVID-19 cases on April 28

Vietnam on April 28 reported 3,094 new COVID-19 cases – the highest recorded in a day in the past over six months, according to the Ministry of Health.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam on April 28 reported 3,094 new COVID-19 cases – the highestrecorded in a day in the past over six months, according to the Ministry ofHealth.

Since the pandemic broke out in the country inearly 2020, the country has reported over 11,557,969 cases. Among the total infections, 10,620,576 were given the all-clear, while 43,188 died of the disease.

To date, the country has administered  266,207,930 doses of vaccines againstCOVID-19.

As the number of COVID-19 infections inVietnam has continuously increased recently, the Ministry of Health has keptasking localities to speed up vaccination for people in high-risk groups.

Health expertsrecommend people, besides getting enoughCOVID-19 vaccine doses, need to comply with disease prevention and control measures,such as wearing masks and disinfection, especially during the Hung Kings death anniversary, National Reunification and May Day holidays./.

Hanoi tightens control, prevention of monkeypox
