Vietnam condemns a truck attack on pedestrians in Stockholm capital of Sweden on April 7, Spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry Le Thi Thu Hang has said.

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam condemns a truck attack on pedestrians in Stockholm capitalof Sweden on April 7, Spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry Le Thi Thu Hang hassaid.

Answering reporters’ questions on Vietnam’sresponse to the attack, Hang said on April 8 that “We extend our deepsympathies to the Swedish Government and people, especially families of thevictims.”

Those behind the attack will be strictly punished, she stressed.

According to the spokesperson, no information on any Vietnamese victims in theattack has been reported so far, she noted.

She added that the Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden is closely coordinating withlocal authorised agencies to follow the situation and give timely support to Vietnamesecitizens in case of emergency.-VNA
