Vietnam chemical group gifts medical station to Laos

The Vietnam National Chemical Corporation (Vinachem) on August 15 hosted a ceremony to attach plaque to the Donkeo medical station, its gift to residents in Nongbouk district, the Lao province of Khammouane.

The165,000 USD station is designed to accommodate health examination andtreatment rooms, a housing area for medical staff and a range ofequipment.

Donkeo village is where Vinachem plans to start itsrock salt exploiting and processing project worth over 522 million USD,said Director of the Viet Lao rock salt exploiting and processingcompany Nguyen Huy Cuong.

The district authorities, on the occasion, also promised to help Vinachem work on their project as scheduled.-VNA

Hanoi tightens control, prevention of monkeypox
