Opened on September 24 inHo Chi Minh City, the one-day event looked at viable strategies forfinance, markets and human resources in great depth.

As theASEAN Economic Community (AEC) - a common platform for the region’sbusiness circles - will be established in late 2015, Vietnamese firmsare expected to enhance their operations in a bid to become morecompetitive.

Global changes bear opportunities and challenges,but what mattered was how to make the most out of each trend, Chairmanof the FPT Board of Directors Truong Gia Binh said.

Economistssaid the birth of the AEC would deal a “strategic blow” to domesticenterprises, forcing them to devise long-term and strategic businessplans.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam and economist Pham Chi Lan were amongst the key-note speakers.

The annual event was organised by the municipal Young Business PeopleAssociation, Saigon Entrepreneurs Club, 2030 Businessmen Club, LeadingBusiness Club and the Business Association of Vietnamese High-QualityGoods.-VNA
