The Australia–Vietnam Business Council (AVBC) held a get-together inSydney on April 4 to further bolster trade links between the twocountries.
Addressing the event, which is part ofactivities to mark the 40th anniversary of Vietnam–Australia diplomatties, Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Hoang Vinh Thanh affirmed thatthe two countries will continue reaping successes, especially inbilateral trade thanks to close cooperation.
FormerAustralian Ambassador to Vietnam Allaster Cox stressed that Vietnamis an important partner of Australia , adding that the two countriesneed to enhance their partnership in an ever-changing world.
Cox said the bilateral trade achievements are yet to match the two countries’ relations.
AVBC Chairman Laurence Strano said 6 billion USD in two-way trade last year is an impressive achievement.
