Vietnam attends int'l military-security forums in Russia

Hanoi (VNA) –A high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence, ledby Deputy Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen. Be Xuan Truong, has been in Russia to attendthe International Military-Technical Forum «ARMY2018» and the International Forum “Security Week Russia” fromAugust 19-24.

The visit is being madeat the invitation of Russian Minister of Defence Gen. Sergei Shoigu.

While in Russia, theVietnamese delegation had meetings with several partners and attended theopening of a booth of the Viettel Military Industry and Telecoms Group.

They also participatedin exhibitions showcasing modern military weapons and technologies as well as activitiespresenting the features and operations of weapons and technical equipment onthe drill-ground.

The Vietnamesedelegation’s visit contributed to strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnershipbetween the two nations.-VNA
