The ship willparticipate in LIMA 2017 from March 21-25 with 140 officers and crew members onboard, the Quan Doi Nhan Dan (People’s Army Newspaper) reported. Theparticipation is to show the determination and consistent viewpoint of theParty, State, and army to international integration and cooperation.
It also aims toenhance relations between the Vietnam People’s Navy with its counterparts fromthe host Malaysia and other Asian nations and help ensure regional maritimesafety and security.
HQ-011 Dinh TienHoang is scheduled to take part in the event’s ship review and maritimedemonstration alongside several exercises, including a rescue operation.
LIMA is a maritimeand aerospace exhibition that has taken place once every two years since 1991.
The event is one ofthe largest exhibitions of its kind in Asia-Pacific to support not only thedefence but also civilian industries. The 2015 event was attended by 512exhibitors from 36 countries and this year, is expected to welcome 550companies from 38 countries.-VNA
