Berlin (VNA) – Vietnam’sproducts will be showcased at an exhibition in Leipzig city of Germany’s Saxonystate from February 23 to March 3.

This year, based on the Ho Chi Minh City -Leipzig partnership, Vietnam has been invited to attend the fair for the firsttime as its main partner. Vietnamese products will be featured in the centralarea of the fair.

Italy and Spain were chosen as partners inthe two previous editions of the event.

The exhibition is viewed as a chance forVietnam to promote its socio-economic achievements over the years to internationalfriends, and development of the agricultural and fisheries sectors, as well asbolster the country’s economic-trade and tourism relations.

It is also hoped to strengthen investmentbetween Vietnam and Germany in particular, and between Vietnam and the EuropeanUnion in general.

Covering a total area of about 120,000 sq.mand viewed among the largest consumer fairs in Germany, each year, the Leipzigexhibition attracts about 1,000 exhibitors from 20 countries and territories.It draws nearly 200,000 visitors annually, according to data of the FGM-Leipzigmarket research institute.-VNA
