Vietnam attends ASEM cultural festival in Indonesia

Representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia joined those from 19 other diplomatic agencies of member nations of the Asia–Europe Meeting (ASEM) cooperation mechanism in a cultural festival in Jakarta on March 27.
Jakarta (VNA) – Representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesiajoined those from 19 other diplomatic agencies of member nations of the Asia–Europe Meeting (ASEM)cooperation mechanism in a cultural festival in Jakarta on March 27.

The festival is an annual ASEM event, aiming to enhance connection and culturalexchange, as well as promote the tourism potential of ASEM member countries.

Talking to the Vietnam News Agency’s correspondents in Jakarta, Masni Erizafrom the Indonesian foreign ministry said the event features a diverse range ofcultural identities, enhancing and encouraging culture exchange among ASEMmember states towards boosting mutual understanding among people in the region.

Third secretary at the Vietnamese Embassy in Indonesia Nguyen Do Ngan Giang saidthe embassy introduced Vietnam’s land, people, and traditional cuisine at theevent.

Within the event’s framework, discussion sessions and exhibitions werearranged, offering opportunities for participants to connect and understand moreabout the cultures of ASEM nations. –VNA
