An Airbus A350 serving Paris-Hanoi direct route landed at Noi Bai International Airport, in Hanoi, on October 2, marking Vietnam Airlines’ official operation of the top-class plane to meet the increasing travel demand between Vietnam and France.
Seeing the flight off from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris on October 1, Claude Morel, from the French Ministry of Transport, congratulated Vietnam’s national flag carrier on becoming one of the leading airlines in the region through continually modernising its fleet and bettering its services.
He also hailed the effective cooperation between Vietnam and France as well as the partnership between Vietnam Airlines and Air France, and Airbus manufacturer.
Vietnamese Ambassador to France Nguyen Ngoc Son said he is delighted at improved services made by the national flag carrier as these brought in satisfactions from both domestic and international passengers.
France is one of the European biggest partners of Vietnam, while Vietnam is a favourite destination for nearly 300,000 French tourists each year, Son said.
In October, Vietnam Airlines operates the A350 on the Hanoi-Paris and Ho Chi Minh City-Paris routes.
As scheduled, it will have fourteen A350-900s, including 10 ordered directly from Airbus and another four from leasing firms.-VNA
