Hanoi (VNA) – VietnamAirlines has announced that it will start to allow customers to buy tickets usingQR code through the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS) and VNPay.
Customers can usevarious applications – including Momo and Moca – mobile banking, and Internet bankingto pay for their tickets, along with the more traditional methods on their websiteor through travel agents.
Through the expansionof its payment methods, the national flag carrier has become a pioneer in technologyapplication in the country.
Since the beginning ofJune 2018, Vietnam Airlines has made it possible for customers to book tickets onits hotlines (19001100 and 19001800) or pay with their bank cards throughInternet banking, ATMs, or directly at Techcombank and Vietcombank transactionoffices.
The airlines’ effortsto modernise its technology give customers more choices and convenience when usingits services.
In the 2015-2017period, Vietnam Airlines turned itself into a joint stock company with a new orientationand development policy.
Currently, VietnamAirlines operates 90 routes to 20 domestic and 29 international destinations,with more than 400 flights each day.
The airlines own manymodern airplane models such as the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, Airbus A350-900 XWB,Airbus A330, and Airbus A321.
In 2017, VietnamAirlines recorded an impressive revenue of 88.4 trillion VND (nearly 3.9 bilionUSD). It served 26.5 million passengers in the year, with its on-time ratereaching over 90 percent. It has been ranked four-stars by the UK-based airlinereview and rating organisation, Skytrax, for two consecutive years, and came 14thon the list of 20 best premium class airlines around the world. -VNA
