Hanoi (VNA) – Minister Counsellor Nguyen PhuongTra, Deputy Permanent Representative of Vietnam to the United Nations (UN), affirmedVietnam’s consistent standpoint on the situation in the Golan Heights during aconsultation of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on December 8.

She voiced her concern over the vulnerable security situation andrisks of escalating tensions amid violations of the Disengagement of ForcesAgreement.

Vietnam called on stakeholders to restrain andrespect the UN Charter, UNSC Resolution and relevant agreements so as to ensurepeace and stability in the Golan Heights in particular and the region at large./.
