Low-cost Vietjet Air has launched a new service between Ho Chi Minh City with Yangon, Myanmar in celebration of 40 years of diplomatic relations between two countries.
The route will help meet increased travel demand and contribute to economic and cultural exchange, as well as international integration, for both countries.
The new route will operate return flights on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Flight duration is two hours and 15 minutes. Flights depart in HCM City at 10:25am and arrive in Yangon at 12:10 pm (local time). Return flights depart at Yangon at 1:00pm (local time) and land in HCM City at 3:45 pm.
Sharing similarities in economic development and culture, Myanmar and Vietnam have become increasingly attractive destinations in the ASEAN bloc for foreign direct investment.
As the two economies have witnessed impressive economic growth, Vietjet said it wanted to include Myanmar in its airline expansion plan.-VNA.
