The signatories were Deputy General Director ofVietjet Air Dinh Viet Phuong and Director of Commercial at Air India PankajSrivastava.
Vietnamese National Assembly Chairwoman NguyenThi Kim Ngan and Speaker of India’s Lower House Sumitra Mahajan witnessed thesigning ceremony as part of the former’s ongoing visit to India from December8-11.
Phuong said the MoU is expected to help VietjetAir gain easier access to India – a potential market with a population of over1.2 billion people.
Under the document, the two sides will cooperateto launch direct flights connecting Vietnam with Indian major cities, in theforeseeable future - Ho Chi Minh City and New Delhi.
They will also shake hands to develop salechannels and implement bilateral tourism-trade activities as well as shareexperience and cooperate in human resources training./.
