Cloud computing has become a trend around the world. Microsoft capabilities will empower VIB to create a multi-cloud ecosystem usingMicrosoft Azure as the primary cloud for VIB applications, while ensuring thesame applications can move or run across a secondary cloud if necessary, VIBsaid in a statement.
In the next three years, VIB will prioritise transferring and hosting itsapplications and business platforms on the cloud. During the process, the bankis simultaneously modernising and shifting the computing workload includingbusiness applications and end-user computing needs to this new platform, it said.
Under the agreement, the two sides will also deploy important projects onCybersecurity, Big Data, AI, Open API, IoT and Modern Workplace to achieveVIB's digital transformation process.
In addition, Microsoft will provide training and certification for VIBemployees to ensure that the human resources are qualified with the best skillsin applying technologies to the working process and implementing work tasks.
VIB’s cloud migration strategy started with the preparation of the elements oftechnology and human resources. From the beginning of this year, the bank haspioneered in using cloud technology in some projects.
