Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)will continue its close coordination with the National Assembly, Government andrelevant agencies of Vietnam to contribute to enhancing the friendship andmulti-faceted cooperation with the State and people of Iran, said President ofthe VFF Central Committee Tran Thanh Man.
Man told Speakerof the Parliament of Iran Ali Ardeshir Larijani in Hanoi on April 16 that theVFF will work to encourage political and social organisations, and associationsof the two countries to expand exchange and cooperation.
The VFF leader expressed hishope that the Iranian Parliament will make more contributions to deepening the bilateralcollaboration in an effective manner, especially in economy.
Vietnam always attachesimportance to the traditional friendship and mutually beneficial cooperationwith Iran, Man said, noting with pleasure the active development of thebilateral ties, as reflected through visits by the two countries’ leaders overthe past time.
He used the occasion tocongratulate Iran on the economic achievements, political stability and theelevated position in the region and the world the country has recorded.
Larijani, for his part, briefedthe host about outcomes of his talks with Chairwoman of the Vietnamese NationalAssembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, during which both sides shared views on potentialfor cooperation in oil and gas, minerals, information-technology,telecommunications, aviation, culture and education-training.
The Iranian leader urged the twocountries to step up their affiliation, particularly in trade and investment,thus raising bilateral trade for the sake of people of each country.-VNA
