Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro's status on his Facebook

Hanoi (VNA) – Venezuelan President NicolasMaduro on September 2 posted a status on his Facebook praising the patriotismand nationalism of late President Ho Chi Minh to commemorate him on theoccasion of his 48th death anniversary.

In his status, Maduro affirmed that President Ho Chi Minhwas the founder of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and created the country’sindependence.

He recalled the day in 1945 at the Ba Dinh Square, the latePresident read the Declaration of Independence founding the Democratic Republicof Vietnam, with the determination to build a socialist nation.

President Ho then led the Vietnamese people to triumph overFrench colonists and US imperialists.

National reunification was the burning desire of PresidentHo Chi Minh and the Vietnamese people, Manduro wrote, adding that thanks toPresident Ho Chi Minh’s military doctrine of the all-people war, the Vietnamesepeople struggled against the most modern weapons and military tactics of the USarmy.

As a communist poet, President Ho Chi Minh inspired theVietnamese nation to fight the mostpowerful and devastating military empire with a brave spirit for the selfdetermination of the nation, Madura concluded.-VNA
