During his stayin Vietnam, the Vanuatu PM held talks with his Vietnamese counterpart,Nguyen Tan Dung, and paid a courtesy visit to President Truong Tan Sang.In their meetings, the two sides informed each other of theirrespective country’s development, and expressed their pleasure atfriendship between the two countries.

The leaders said that thetwo countries have a lot of potential for cooperation, and agreed toincrease the exchange of delegations at levels and encouragepeople-to-people activities.

Referring to regional and globalissues, they highly valued mutual support and coordination at forums,and vowed to continue to work together in multilateral mechanisms, suchas the United Nations, the Non-Aligned Movement and the Francophonecommunity.

During the visit, the two sides signed a memorandum of understanding on technical cooperation and development.

Aspart of his visit to Vietnam, PM Natuman toured HCM City and met withLe Hoang Quan, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, visitedseveral cultural and historical establishments in Hanoi and HCM City.-VNA
