US President thanks Vietnam after DPRK-USA Hanoi Summit

US President Donald Trump once again thanked Vietnam for hosting the second DPRK-USA Summit while flying back to the US on February 28 after finishing his meeting in Hanoi.

Hanoi (VNA) – US President Donald Trump onceagain thanked Vietnam for hosting the second DPRK-USA Summit while flying back tothe US on February 28 after finishing his meeting in Hanoi.

On his Twitter account, President Trump conveyed gratitudeto Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime MinisterNguyen Xuan Phuc, and “the wonderful people of Vietnam”.

Earlier at a press conference following the DPRK-USA Hanoi Summit,Trump thanked the government and people of Vietnam for supporting and hostingthe second DPRK-USA summit.

He said he and DPRK leader Kim Jong-un talked about variousissues and had a “productive time”, both leaving the summit with a sound andfriendly disposition.

In a statement the same day, the White House’s Press SecretarySarah Sanders said that President Trump and DPRK Chairman Kim Jong-un “had avery good and constructive meeting in Hanoi.” –VNA
