Phu Yen (VNA) – American medical workersjoined a voluntary blood donation programme at Phu Yen Medical College, thecentral province of Phu Yen on May 13.

The event was part of medical supportactivities under the ongoing Pacific Partnership 2019 (PP19).

More than 120 lecturers and students at thecollege also joined the activity.

As the result, a total 120 blood units werehanded over to the provincial general hospital.

The benefits of blood donation were also explainedby US medical staff.

Earlier, medical experts from the US, Japan,Canada, Australia and the Republic of Korea also shared experience with thosefrom the provincial general hospital, the ophthalmology hospital and theobstetric and pediatric hospital.

Within the PP19 framework, there wereseminars on strokes, food safety and nursing programme development.-VNA
