Hanoi (VNA) – The US Departmentof Commerce has cancelled a review of the countervailing duty order on steel nailsfrom Vietnam for the period between January 1 and December 31, 2016.
The rescission notice was issued last week.
The department received a request from MidContinent Steel & Wire Inc. to conduct an administrative review of thecountervailing duty order with respect to 14 companies from Vietnam on July 31.
Based upon this request, the departmentpublished a notice of initiation of administrative review for this order onSeptember 13. But on September 28, the petitioner withdrew its request for all14 companies so the department rescinded the order.
The department will instruct US Customs andBorder Protection to assess the countervailing duties on all appropriateentries at a rate equal to the cash deposit of estimated anti-dumping dutiesrequired at the time of entry, or withdrawal from warehouse, for consumption,during the period.-VNA
