Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Industry and Trade hasupgraded the website on the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement forTrans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) to help people and businesses gain a betterinsight into the major deal to which Vietnam is a signatory.
The website, http://cptpp.moit.gov.vn, providesan overview of the CPTPP, the full text of the agreement in both English andVietnamese, implementation plans of the Government, ministries, sectors andlocalities, along with legal documents revised or issued to carry out the pact.
It explains Vietnam’s main commitments relevantto goods, services-investment, Government procurement, intellectual property,labour, and State-owned enterprises.
Other CPTPP members’ commitments relating to thecommodities Vietnam has strength in are also listed on this website.
Additionally, the website also posts referencedocuments, including studies on the CPTPP conducted by some countries andinternational organisations, along with some frequently asked questions.
The ministry said it will continue updatingnews, implementation plans, new legal documents, and relevant papers on thiswebsite, thereby helping businesses and people optimise opportunities createdby the CPTPP.
The CPTPP, which officially took effect inVietnam on January 14, gathers 11 member states, namely Australia, Brunei,Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, andVietnam that altogether make up 13.5 percent of the global GDP.-VNA
