In a recentinterview with the Vietnam News Agency in Geneva, Switzerland, Mollersaid the accords brought an end to the French colonial system andencouraged people from Asia, Africa and Latin America to fight fornational liberation.
He said the document also earned Geneva a reputation as a city of peace and a global hub for key talks.
Geopolitically, the Geneva conference marked the first pilot peacenegotiations during the Cold War with third-world countries taking part,said Guy Mettan, Director of the Geneva press club.
The accords sent a signal that countries may succeed in reclaiming independence on their path of decolonisation, he added.-VNA
