Ukraine appreciates friendship, cooperation with Vietnam

Moscow (VNA) - Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Foreign AffairsYevheniy Yenin spoke highly of the friendship and cooperation of his country andVietnam in both bilateral and multilateral aspects while receiving a copy ofthe letter of credentials from Vietnamese Ambassador to Ukraine Nguyen HongThach on December 16.

Welcoming the newly-accredited ambassador, Yenin saidhe would cooperate closely with Thach to further develop bilateral relations.

He emphasised several initiatives from Ukraine to setup closer relations with ASEAN, and proposed Vietnam continue supporting andworking with the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry to speed up the implementation ofthese initiatives.

Yenin took the occasion to thank Vietnamese organisations,businesses, and individuals for their assistance to Ukraine’s fight againstCOVID-19.

The ambassador pledged to coordinate with the ForeignMinistry and offices and enterprises of Ukraine to intensify the relationsbetween the two nations.

Stressing the important role of the Vietnamesecommunity in Ukraine in regard to bilateral ties, he suggested the UkrainianGovernment create more favourable conditions for them to stabilise their livesand contribute more to Ukraine’s socio-economic development as well asbilateral relations./.
