UK to help Vietnam with WTO pact

The United Kingdom will help Vietnam to implement the World Trade Organisation (WTO) Trade Facilitation Agreement through a technical project that was signed on October 29.
The United Kingdom will help Vietnam to implement the World TradeOrganisation (WTO) Trade Facilitation Agreement through a technicalproject that was signed on October 29.

The GeneralDepartment of Vietnam Customs and the British Embassy here were thesignatories on the document detailing the six-month project, which aimsto help review legal documents relating to trade facilitation in thecountry and organise a conference for drafting a Government proposal onthe implementation of the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement in Vietnam.

The agreement aims to reduce red-tape in cross-border trade by simplifying the customs and border procedures of WTO members.-VNA
