The Vietnam International Agriculture Trade Fair, AgroViet 2013, kickedoff in Hanoi on November 14 to promote safe and sustainably developedagriculture.
The fair features 400 stands from 200 local andforeign businesses, displaying agro-forestry and aquatic products,machinery, equipment and technologies for production, processing, andpost-harvest preservation.
During the fair, a “Farmer bridge” programme will be organised to connect farmers with scientists and businesses.
Additionally, a seminar entitled "Production and supply ofagricultural products in chain food safety" will also be held, offeringcooperation and investment opportunities and increasing the added valueof goods by improving product quality, productivity and food safety.
Local enterprises will participate in a business matching programmewith over 30 Chinese firms in the field. China is currently one of thebiggest importers of Vietnamese agricultural products.
