Speaking at a pressconference in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on July 7, the deputychairman said as of June 30, total tra fish output stood at 516,140tonnes, up 1.22 percent compared to the same period last year.

Exports to the ASEAN market have also posted a positive growth.
Dung attributed the drop in shipments to the EU and the US to acheaper Euro and stricter technical barriers. The price of tra fishexports also reduced by 5 cent per pound in the US, and anti-dumpingmeasures taken by US organisations caused difficulties to Vietnameseexporters, he said.-VNA
