Hanoi (VNA) –National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan arrived in Hanoi in theevening of October 18, concluding her three-day official visit to Kazakhstan.
During the visit, Ngan held talkswith Chairman of the Mazhilis of the Parliament (Lower House) of KazakhstanNurlan Nigmatulin. They discussed and agreed on a range of measures to continuefostering and expanding cooperation between the two countries and the two legislatures.
The Vietnamese top legislatoralso met Chairman of the Senate of Kazakhstan Kassym Zhomart Tokayev; paid acourtesy visit to Prime Minister Bakytzhan Sagintayev; and held meetings withDeputy Chairman of the ruling Nur Otan Party Abraruly Kul-Mukhammed and FirstSecretary of the Communist People’s Party of Kazakhstan Zhambyl A.Akhmetbekov.

During the talks and meetings, theKazakhstani leaders expressed their delight at Vietnam’s socio-economicdevelopment achievements and affirmed their willingness to expand cooperative relationswith Vietnam.
Both sides agreed thatcollaboration between the two legislatures is an important channel inVietnam-Kazakhstan relations. They pledged to maintain close coordination atregional and international forums, and continue sharing experience inlegislative affairs and ensuring people’s interests in the process of socio-economicdevelopment.
They also pledged to increase theexchange of high-level delegations and jointly supervise the implementation ofcooperative agreements signed by the two governments.-VNA
