Hanoi (VNA) – Party General Secretary andPresident Nguyen Phu Trong on April 30 sent his letter to Japanese King FatherAkihito.

The letter was occasioned by the latter’s abdication andbecoming the King Father.

In his letter, the leader thanked King Father Akihito’s finesentiment to the land and people of Vietnam, and highly valued the historicalsignificance of his first Vietnam visit in 2017 when he was reigning.-VNA
