Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - The total revenue of the Top 10 Sao Khue Awardwinners this year reached 357.4 trillion VND (16 billion USD), creatingjobs for 63,453 people.
The information was announced at the award ceremony organised by the Vietnam Softwareand IT Services Association (VINASA) held in Hanoi on April 24.
This year the event has set a record with nearly 300 nominations from 161enterprises, representing a 57.8 percent year-on-year increase. This is thelargest in terms of the number of nominations and registered businesses sincethe event was launched.
Through three rounds, the jury selected 180 excellent IT platforms, servicesand solutions to award the Sao Khue in 2021, including 25 platforms, 32services and 123 solutions.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information andCommunications Phan Tam said the Sao Khue Awards are the pride of Vietnam’s ICTindustry. It is also an effective tool and important driving force in nationaldigital transformation.
He believed that the winning products and solutions would be widely deployed inorganisations and businesses to help the country’s industries create abreakthrough for Vietnam in reaching the international market.
“I call for the entire Vietnamese technology community and businesseswhose products and services are honoured todayto continue making more efforts, turn challenges intoopportunities to create excellent digital services and solutions for theVietnamese market. The MIC pledges to always accompany and create favourableconditions and support digital technology businesses with specific policies sothat the ICT business community can maintain its development, and soon be thepioneering force for a digital country,” he said.
Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the VINASA Founding Council and head of theOrganising Committee of the 2021 Sao Khue Awards, said that in 18 years,the IT industry has become the largest technology industry in Vietnam withrevenue accounting for about 14 per cent of the country's GDP. In this success,there have been contributions from the Sao Khue Awards.
Binh added that the products and services participating in Sao Khue thisyear all have innovations in product development such as AI, Cloud Computing,Big Data, IoT and Blockchain. Many products and services have been on the righttrend and achieved high revenue growth, making them bright spots in the digitaleconomy and contributing to Vietnam’s impressive growth performance in the pastyear.
The highlight of 2021 Sao Khue Awards is the new category DigitalTransformation Platform with 46 registered for the award, belonging to threedevelopment models – Platform for Developers (marketplace), Core TechnologyPlatform and Software Service Platform (SaaS).
Top 10 Sao Khuê with products in six groups of awards such as digital products,solutions; digital conversion platforms; new technology solutions for allsectors; digital start-up products and solutions would be supported by VINASA,connecting with technology partners to build a Sao Khue Ecosystem. On thatbasis, award-winning products could reach users faster, forming completedigital ecosystems for Vietnamese people, helping accelerate the process ofnational digital transformation.
Nguyen Minh Quy, chairman of NOVAON Group that had four digital platforms honouredat the Sao Khue Awards, said: “NOVAON chooses different approaches to itsplatforms and solutions, in order to bring the highest investment efficiency tocustomers.
