Three quarters of housing credit package already disbursed

The disbursement of a 30 trillion VND (1.3 billion USD) housing credit package has reached 22.4 trillion VND (1 billion USD), or 75 percent of its value.

Hanoi (VNA) – The disbursement of a 30 trillion VND (1.3 billion USD) housing credit package has reached 22.4 trillion VND (1 billion USD), or 75 percent of its value, according to the Agency for Management of Housing and Real Estate Market.

The banks have signed contracts committing loans worth 24.2 trillion VND to 49,877 households.

In Hanoi, banks committed to loans worth 9.2 trillion VND to 18,176 households while the respective figures for HCM City were 6.75 trillion VND and 11,967. Most households borrowed to buy social and low-price housing units.

For business customers, banks committed loans worth 7.77 trillion VND to 60 projects. Of which, 3.72 trillion VND was committed to 16 projects in Hanoi and nearly 1.2 trillion VND to eight projects in HCM City.-VNA
