Bangkok (VNA) – Media in Thailand reported on November 24 that their marine policecaptured two Vietnamese fishing boats with nine fishermen on board forillegally fishing off Narathiwat province in south Thailand.
The Vietnamese fishing boats were arrested when catching holothurians inThailand’s waters and their activities were reported by Thai fishermen, saidlieutenant colonel Daecha Upachaya, deputy head of the marine police unit No.7.
Police held many fishing tools together with 30 kg of holothurians and detainedVietnamese fishermen at the Narathiwat provincial police station for interrogations.
