Thesix, including Sondhi Limthonkul, leader of the People’s Alliance forDemocracy (PAD) or the Yellow Shirts, were accused of leading theprotestors to trespass at the Government House during a 2008 rally.

They were released after posting 6,000 USD bail each but banned from travelling overseas.

Sondhi and dozens of other Yellow Shirts also face terrorism chargesover the occupation of airports in Bangkok in 2008, which strandedthousands of tourists.-VNA

Indonesia begins major oil, gas exploration in Sulawesi

Indonesia's state-owned oil company Pertamina, along with foreign partners Sinopec from China and Kuwait’s Kufpec, has signed a contract to explore the Melati oil and gas block, located off the coast of Sulawesi. The block is estimated to contain trillions of cubic feet of gas reserves.
